Governor Bassey Otu Installed as RTIFN Patron, Backs Tinubu's Reform Drive

Ahead of its grand rally, sensitization campaign, inauguration, and medical outreach programme in Calabar, the Cross River State capital, the national and state leadership of Relax Tinubu Is Fixing Nigeria (RTIFN) paid a courtesy visit to the Governor of Cross River State, His Excellency, Senator Prince Bassey Edet Otu.

During the visit, on Friday Governor Otu was conferred with the esteemed position of Patron of RTIFN in recognition of his remarkable achievements and outstanding leadership over the past three years. 

The honour was bestowed in acknowledgment of his administration's significant strides in road infrastructure, aviation development, education, and other critical sectors that have positively impacted the lives of Cross River residents.

The RTIFN delegation comprised key national officers, including Deputy National Coordinator, Zack Orji; National Secretary, Ambassador Dr. Felix Arome; Dr. Umma Adamu; the National Women Leader; and other members of the National Executive Committee. 

They were joined by the Cross River State Coordinator and host, Engr. Anjor Obande, alongside the Akwa Ibom State Coordinator, Chief Kingsley Oyong, and members of the Cross River State Executive Committee of RTIFN.

Speaking during the visit, Engr. Anjor Obande emphasized that RTIFN, as a support group, remains committed to ensuring the successful continuation of the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, as well as supporting the People's First Agenda of Governor Bassey Otu in Cross River State.

In his remarks, Ambassador Dr. Felix Arome stated that RTIFN's core objective extends beyond supporting the re-election of President Tinubu. 

According to him, the group is equally focused on enlightening Nigerians about the achievements of the current administration, which he noted exceed 300 accomplishments within three years. 

He urged citizens not to be swayed by misinformation and negative narratives but to take advantage of government initiatives such as the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) and other people-oriented programmes designed to improve livelihoods.

Responding, Governor Bassey Otu commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for the progress recorded in key areas including economic and fiscal reforms, social welfare, education, infrastructure development, and the energy sector.

 He noted that many of the ongoing reforms are designed to deliver sustainable and long-term benefits for Nigerians.

The Governor further urged citizens to remain patient and supportive, stressing that the positive outcomes of the reforms would become increasingly evident with time. 

He also expressed his appreciation for the recognition accorded him by RTIFN and pledged his continued support for the activities and objectives of the organization at both state and national levels.

Governor Otu concluded by wishing the RTIFN team a successful rally, sensitization campaign, inauguration, and medical outreach programme scheduled for June 6, 2026, in Calabar.
