AWKA, NIGERIA - As the All Progressives Congress (APC) prepares for its crucial congresses in Anambra State, gubernatorial hopeful Valentine Ozigbo has made a resounding appeal for fairness, inclusion, and transparency, a message that has now gone viral across political circles and social media.

In two widely circulated videos, Ozigbo, a respected Nigerian business leader and the leading contender in the November 2025 governorship election, urged APC members to ensure a free and credible process in selecting delegates who will determine the party’s candidate.

'EVERY VOTE MUST COUNT' - OZIGBO CALLS FOR TRANSPARENT PROCESS

The first video, titled “Unity & Transparency – APC Anambra Ward Congresses”, was shared on Friday, March 14, 2025 ahead of the party’s ward congresses on March 15, 2025.

Ozigbo emphasised the importance of due process, calling on APC ward leaders and stakeholders to conduct an inclusive exercise that reflects the true will of party members.

"The future of Anambra is in our hands! On Saturday, March 15, 2025, we will hold our Ward Congresses—a defining moment for our great party," Ozigbo declared.

"Every vote must count, and every delegate must be chosen wisely. I appeal to all stakeholders, veterans, and party faithful to come together and ensure a fair, transparent, and inclusive process."

To protect the integrity of the congresses, he urged all five elected delegates in each ward to record the process on video, ensuring that rightful delegates are not fraudulently replaced.

"Let me affirm clearly here—I stand firm in defending the choice of the people," he stated.

He also advocated for a balanced delegate selection process, encouraging wards to include at least one youth and one woman among their five elected representatives.

"Now is the time for unity and collaboration. Let us embrace our Igbo philosophy of 'Oha zuru mee'—working together in harmony. Like the broom, we are stronger when bound together than when divided."

In his second video, “A Call to Action”, Ozigbo shifted his focus to the ongoing APC membership registration and revalidation exercise, urging Anambra residents to seize the moment and take part.

"Ndi Anambra, the time to shape our future is NOW! This is our chance to unite, strengthen our collective voice, and work towards a better and brighter Anambra," he said.

Appealing beyond party lines, he addressed supporters from various political backgrounds—including PDP, APGA, Labour Party, and the Obidient Movement—encouraging them to register with APC and actively participate in shaping the state’s future.

"Many of you have asked when and how to make this transition. The time is now. Go to your ward and register as a member of APC today! Let’s take this crucial step forward together."

Ozigbo’s call for fair play and unity within the APC has resonated widely, with supporters lauding his inclusive and strategic approach.

Since joining APC, Ozigbo, one of Nigeria's most recognisable philanthropists, has continued to solidify his grassroots support, positioning himself as a top contender for the party’s ticket.
