Engineering is a creative activity based on experiments and practice applied through

scientific knowledge. It helped the mankind by saving his time and effort. We had never seen

such a marvelous change except engineering. It had been started from the fundamental

invention of wheel, pulleys; turned into complex engineering of railway engine, aviation

services, computers, electrical appliances, mega structures of building, robots etc.

The main branches of engineering are as follows; mechanical engineering, electrical

engineering, civil engineering, environmental engineering, geological engineering, chemical

engineering, software engineering, aeronautical engineering, mechatronics etc. In the recent

era; computer and software have played an important role to move things smoothly. It is an

example of modern scientific and technological approach towards humanity. Computers have

solved many problems related to every field of life i.e. earthquake prediction, weather forecast,

navigation, medical assistance, design, explore things, business and other calculations. Steam

engine & electricity have revolutionized many industries to generate and consume power.

Machines have played an important role in production and efficiency from past decades. Civil &

geological engineering have their own boundaries and limits. Dam, bridges and roads are

outcome of extravagant feasibility, design and construction knowledge. It involves rock and soil

classification, laboratory tests, mineral reserves, oil & gas reserves, maps, excavation and

construction work. Today we are running through this engineering perspective. Moreover; any

environmental niche can be made on computer and stimulated accordingly when required for

calculation or assessment. It is the basic knowledge of environmental engineering. Air pollution,

noise, water pollution etc. can be understood and controlled through specific measures. Also

this It advancement could save millions of precious lives during any climatic disaster such as

cyclone, earthquake, tsunami by evacuating public. Medical science and engineering had

standards of living. It always helps us in sustainable development and protection.
