The Vedic era with Sanskrit tongue, Epics Ramayana and Mahabharata sung, Gupta's golden age with art and science young, And Ashoka's non-violence in action strung.

Mughal rule with Taj Mahal's grace, Akbar's religious tolerance a trace, British Raj with freedom's race, Gandhi's salt march with peaceful pace.

India, a land of unity in diversity, With a rich past, a future of prosperity, Let us celebrate our history, And strive for a better destiny.
