Sadness is a heavy rain cloud;

That hangs over me all day

It's so hard to express out loud;

The sorrow that comes my way.

I'm so easily weighed down;

By each thought and emotion

My eyes brim with sadness;

My heart is a dark ocean.

It's hard to feel the warmth;

When I'm surrounded by cold

I try to find the strength to rise;

But it's a weighted hold

I give in to sadness;

And let the loneliness consume

I'm desperately seeking happiness;

But it's become such a huge gloom.

The sadness never fully lifts;

It's an never ending grief

To stay afloat I find a gift;

In believing in belief.
