HON. AGNES ATSU WELCOMES COLLABORATION WITH "UNICAL" FOR NUGA PREPARATIONS.

During a recent meeting between the Director of Sports University of Calabar,  "UNICAL", Mrs. Blessing Anam, and the State's Commissioner for Sports Development, Hon. Agnes Atsu, have discussed collaborating to ensure that UNICAL successfully hosts the National Universities Games (NUGA) ahead in 2026. 

The Commissioner for Sports Development, Hon. Agnes Atsu expressed her appreciation for the visit, emphasizing the significance of this collaboration in the development and growth of sports within the state.

 She noted that working together with UNICAL will not only benefit the university but also contribute to the overall promotion of sports excellence and active participation among the youth. 

On her part, The Director of sports UNICAL, Mrs. Anam highlighted the importance of this partnership in making the event a success and showcasing the talent and potential of student-athletes in the region.

With this imitative, their shared commitment to enhancing sports opportunities and infrastructure in the state bodes well for the success of the upcoming NUGA games in 2026.
