Love story

           Back in the days when the world was still so beautiful filled with uninterrupted nature and everything seemed uncommercial  in our village town of makeba ,

 There was this little beautiful girl called Barbara zamunda from the tribe gagezi that originated from kagezi hills .

    Makeba is a small town of  Manano in southern part of africa where nature frourishes and supports all kinds of life on earth. Some people call it " the land of milk and honey ". Because of how beautiful it looks like .

 Me and Barbara did most of works togather  and supported each other in most of our daily activities some one could say we were siblings yet we were from different families .

 Her family was welloff than mine in both financial and cultural status so she used to support me with some scholastic materials that i didnt have at school and she was the only person that could come for my rescure in case i was in trouble in other words she knew how to control me .

 She was so intelligent and beautiful and ahead of me in almost everything eventhough i was also smart in our class .

For this reason something like a relationship or special bond between us never came into my mind because i was so inferior to her .

  One day as we were picking corn from the garden i stubbornly posed a question to her eventhough i was terrified of her reaction .

I asked , Barbra "could it be true that someone intelligent, beautiful  richer than i am like u could love someone like me "?

I will never forget the reaction on her face and how she run away from me .

I became very scared not knowing what her family could do to me and to me i had done the unthinkable pissing her off  with a silly question. 

She was so angry and she never wanted to see my face again that she requested her parents to get another school in a different town away from us and that was my last time to talk to her in years .

   In her new school she met new friends and this helped her to somehow forget me and the disappointment i had caused in her life 

 With our family's few resources i managed to finish school on a government sponsorship that helped me to finish university and graduated as a doctor in medicine and for her she had graduated ahead of me as a lawyer working with Mr Lee's firm as an advocate. 

 One day there was a party in our neighbourhood back in the village and mr Jacob invited us on his wedding party since he was also a childhood friend he invited both of us .

We happened to seat in direct opposite of each other and this made me uncomfortable since we could not avoid staring at each other eye contacts was unavoidable. 

When the party was almost over the DJ played a song for guests to dance , a song that he hoped that it could lift everyone from his or her seat .

 She stood and picked me up for a dance and hugged me and whispered in my ears that i should not repeat the silly question like i did when we were young. I smiled and reapted it like i did " could it be true that someone beautiful, intelligent and richer than me like u  love someone like me "?.

She took a dip breath and gave me a kiss and took off without saying aword leaving me with her phone contact .

From there i was so much aware that she was ready for a talk and she wanted me back .

When i called her in one sundy evening she invited me to her hotel gardens and looking into my eyes she said to me ." For all the years we have known each other i never wanted to be with someone else but u so why did u ask me such a question yet u knew i was already in love with u "? Because u doubted my love for u thats why i was angry and went to live a separate life away from u , away from the only man that i have known and yet the man who didnt know that i loved him ,the man that still doubts my love . 

I apologised for the pain i caused doubting her love for me and promised never to repeat it .

 Since i had lived an empty life away from her i never wanted to loose her again so we kept in touch from there every single day. 

By the end of 1975 because our love grew strong we were married in our small village church where we both attended sunday service .

And there was a song that was played for us , a song that we both liked and it said " senorita could it be that someone like u could love someone ĺike me "?......

That song was so much related to us how we both loved and struggled to be together and even though we came a totaly from a  different background destiny brought us together and we now live a happy life down in our small town of Makeba in Manano land.
