Manchester United manager, given his team directives against Monday clash with Liverpool FC

Erik ten Hag has given his Manchester United players clear guidelines on what they should do in Monday's conflict against Liverpool.

It's been a horrible beginning for the Red Devils this mission, with Ten Hag losing to Brighton and Hove Albion and Brentford in his initial two matches.

Yet, it hasn't recently been the scorelines which have frustrated allies, United have been powerless, weak and have given no indications of self-control or character in the games.

Ten Hag is trusting that won't be the situation when Liverpool travel to Old Trafford on Monday and has offered his players a harsh admonition on the ball.

"It begins with yourself. Go about collectively, keep the guidelines and standards, and buckle down as you can. That's what assuming you do, you get certainty," the previous Ajax supervisor said on Friday.

"I assume I got my point across. I was most certainly not blissful [with the exhibition against Brentford]," he added.

"You can work about football and plan out a way of thinking, however the fundamental stuff must be great. That beginnings with the right demeanor and you really want a battling soul on the pitch. I didn't see that from minute one. You need to get it each game on the pitch, yet particularly on Monday night."

Regardless of Ten Hag's reactions, he demanded there is definitely not an inspirational issue with the group.

"It's easy to spur this group on the grounds that, my involvement in them is, from the beginning of the time they work great on the preparation pitch," he said.
