Nature, in the broadest sense, is the physical world or universe. "Nature" can refer to the phenomena of the physical world, and also to life in general. The study of nature is a large, if not the only, part of science.

It underpins our economy, our society, indeed our very existence

. Our forests, rivers, oceans and soils provide us with the food we eat, the air we breathe, the water we irrigate our crops with. We also rely on them for numerous other goods and services we depend on for our health, happiness and prosperity.

Nature gifts many benefits to humans. From the air we breathe, the water we drink, and the food we eat, nature 

enhances our wellbeing and freely provides the essentials for our survival

because it is alive, moving, reproductive

. In nature we observe growth and development in living things, contrasted with the static or deteriorating state of the vast majority of that which is man-made.

Overall, nature sounds were associated with 

a decrease in the body's sympathetic response (which causes that “fight-or-flight” feeling) and an increase in parasympathetic response

—the one that helps the body relax and function in normal circumstances, and is sometimes referred to as the “rest-digest” response.

Scientists are beginning to find evidence that being in nature has a profound impact on our brains and our behavior, 

People need to respect nature and living things 

. I know that hurting the environment hurts animals and pollutes the earth when we don't. Without plants and trees we would not be able to survive. The environment is also good for and healthy for you and helps you breathe.
