Poetry

Poetry (derived from the Greek poiesis, "making"), also called verse,[note 1] is a form of literature that uses aesthetic and often rhythmic[1][2][3] qualities of language − such as phonaesthetics, sound symbolism, and metre − to evoke meanings in addition to, or in place of, a prosaic ostensible meaning. A poem is a literary composition, written by a poet, using this principle. The Parnassus (1511) by Raphael: famous poets recite alongside the nine Muses atop Mount Parnassus. Poetry has a long

Joyous Sunday

The bells of Sunday ring With a joy that's all their own, And the birds in the trees above Seem to join in the song. The sun is shining bright, And the air is fresh and sweet, And the sky is a cloudless blue, And the world is at its feet. The children are out to play, And the flowers are in bloom, And the world is a happy place On this joyous Sunday morning. The cares of the week are gone, And the heart is light and free, And the soul is filled with peace On this joyous Sunday.

Stressed Out

I sleep for there is no problem. On a field of rose, I lay my head. Basking in the ever living tranquility. Oh, how I wish, That this was true. That I had nothing sorry about. That I could just rest. But the stress is killing me. Crushing me like I am an ant, Carrying a mountain. Like I am one man, Facing the largest army. Anxious, I am anxious about the outcome, About what would happen If I do or I don't Sometimes my only wish Is to just rest. But I know that in this world, That wish is harder.

018 ANOTHER TITLE: "I LOVE YOU BUT I DON'T LOVE YOU" I know I look like a desperate idiot, For chasing after a man who doesn't care. I know I could end up in embarrassment, For being so forlorn and bizarre. I know you won't ever love me, For you have someone else you want to marry. I know you won't look at me the same way I look at you, For you have someone else that can complete you. I know that I'm not the one you need, For you have someone else to hold. I know I'm being a villain, For I am th

ONCE A LOVER, NOW A DEVIL by Richie Kharis

She told him "I hate you," but he took it as a joke Her smile was deceiving and her voice was relieving He only saw an angel with a figure like an eight And never bothered to take note of her repeated joke He told her, " Look, I love you—I'll take a blow for you." But she looked at him smiling as if his words were untrue Yes, I know, but I still hate you because that is what I do Again, he waved, but this time those words came sinking through I see you working, defending me, and fighting for me

A Heart Touching Love Story About Crying Softly. - the call

A boy and a girl were the best of friends. They could talk and talk for what seemed like hours, spending all their time on the phone. And when they were speaking to each other it was like there was nothing wrong in the world, they could never be unhappy or sad in those moments. One day, the girl texted the boy and he didn’t reply which was most unusual. She tried again but to no avail. Finally, she called him but there was no answer. An entire day passed and the boy was not available through pho

The poor grape seller boy(poem)

In the scorching heat, a boy stands tall, Selling grapes, his dreams he recalls. A humble soul, with calloused hands, He weaves his way through life's vast lands. Each grape he holds, a story untold, Of resilience and hope, so bold. With every cluster, he shares a taste, Of perseverance and strength embraced. Beneath the sun, his spirit shines bright, A symbol of courage in the harshest plight. Through dust and toil, he perseveres, A silent poet amid life's tears. In his presence, a lesson we fi

Trapped in Helplessness

A feeling of powerlessness, A sense of being trapped, The weight of the world on your shoulders, And no way to adapt. You try to break free, But the chains are too strong, You scream for help, But no one comes along. Lost in a sea of despair, With no hope in sight, You struggle and fight, But it's a losing fight. Helplessness consumes you, It's all that you know, And in the end, you realize, You're never letting go.

Words

Like an infectious disease at bodily opening floating inside like aromatic scent at nostrils, that is how the sound wave travels through ears processed and integrated in the brain and words manifest. Once altered cannot be retracted so they manifest. Like a virus in the system  emotions are corrupted. Leaving the permanent mark through the thoughts, doubt and worry are some of the output and proof, depending on magnitude in input reflects output. Like radiation harmful words are poisonous. To th

At The Piano

008 Let our fingers dance. For now, let's cover ouselves with ignorance, For this too will end later Like a piano performance on the theater. Glide your fingers on the keys, Go and create perfect harmonies. Let your fingers dance on the piano. Let the music travels on the patio. Ease your mind and feel the piece's message. Play with your heart and unviel the mirage. May you hear my 'I love you' Hidden at this piano performance with you. At the piano I play, Hoping you understand what I relay. Th

If bodies could speak

If bodies could speak What will it scream ? You're enough Your heart is worth every beat of what you think it isn't or shouldn't feel. THIS BODY YOU SPEAK OF wears your soul so often, so pure that no one else will wear it the same. This body houses air within your lungs and water amassing within your stomach, blood flowing through your veins. Vibrating in the frequency at which you chose. Your feet, a compass to the earth, a compass for your body. Your tongue, a pathway to creation. Speak and th
