It’s not what you look at that matters, it’s what you see.

I started painting as a hobby when I was little. I didn’t know I had any talent. I believe talent is just a pursued interest. Anybody can do what I do.

There is no must in art because art is free.

Creativity is allowing yourself to make mistakes. Art is knowing which ones to keep.

A work of art which did not begin in emotion is not art.

Art should comfort the disturbed and disturb the comfortable.

While drawing I discover what I really want to say.

If people only knew how hard I work to gain my mastery. It wouldn't seem so wonderful at all. Inspiration is for amateurs. The rest of us just show up and get the work done. If you wait around for the clouds to part and a bolt of lightning to strike you in the brain, you're not going to make an awful lot of work.

Think in the morning. Act in the noon. Eat in the evening. Sleep in the night.
