Cyber crime is a Crime that involves a computer network , the comuter may have been used in computing the crime, or it may be the target.
Indeed Cybercrime is one of the top crime perpetrated by graduates, undergraduates als of Secondary schools.
However some of the major factors contributing to the high crime rate in nigeria include,peer influence, umemployment, poverty , etc
Futhermore social media exposure on teenagers and youths also contribute immensely to the rate of cyber crime in the society and the nation at large, in the sense that nowadays almost everybody has access to the internet and social media which later exposes them to various celebrity lifestyles and would love to imitate them by wearing designer clothes, shoes , bags etc
I therefore suggest that Non Govermental Organizations has a vital role in sensitizing the public, organizing programmes , conferences, seminars and workshops in both secondary and tetiary institutions on the repercussions of cyber crime a
