The Conference of Nigerian Political Parties(CNPP)Cross River State Chapter Congratulates His Excellency Sen. Prince Bassey Edet Otu on another resounding appeal court victory.

Speaking to this news agency in Calabar shortly after the appeal court judgement which reaffirm Sen. Prince Bassey Otu as the governor of Cross River State, the Chairman of CNPP Pst. Odung Michael said the appeal court reaffirmation of Sen. Otu as the Governor of Cross River State is victory for democracy, it's victory to political parties who adopted him as a candidate and the good people of Cross River State who stood in the sun and rain in making sure they elected a man they believed would deliver the overall mandate.

He went further, "you see the man Sen. Prince Bassey Edet Otu won clearly in 15 out of 18 LGAs and left his opponent struggling in 3 LGAs how on earth can such person claim victory or even suggest that he was cheated in the election. The court issue was just a distraction not just to the Governor but to Cross Riverians who are waiting for the dividence of his government, and to the best of my knowledge and the realities on ground the man has started well and he is doing great".

We therefore seize this opportunity to call on Sen. Sandy Onor of the PDP, to congratulate and join hands with His Excellency Sen. Prince Bassey Edet Otu to repair, rebuild and reinvent Cross River State of peace and stability that will be habitable for all and for businesses to strive. The people's choice should be respected, they should be no further litigations because anything that will try to truncate the people's choice may not be welcome by Cross Riverians, Otu is the people's choice today another person maybe their choice tomorrow, the people should always come first to leaders who claim to be going to represent them.

We urge all hands to be deck at this moment to give Cross Riverians a better life because they deserve it. We advise that any further money to be spent on litigations to the Supreme Court should be channel to empower thousands of supporters who are barely getting a square meal a day now than to be wasted on unfruitful judicial excercise.

Once again, we congratulate His Excellency Sen. Bassey Edet Otu for God has always been gracious to him, and we urge him to continue the good work he has started for Cross Riverians and in making sure every Cross Riverian from the creeks of Bakassi to the hills of Obanliku feel the impact of his administration which has really captured the people's needs succinctly "People's First" agenda.

May God bless His Excellency Sen. Prince Bassey Edet Otu and his administration's and may God bless Cross Riverians.
