Review: This book works. That could be the review. Alain lays out a complete strategy for hard gainers to gain mass and strength. I am six weeks in and I am loving my results.
I had worked out for several years but didn’t really show it. The problem wasn’t the routines, it was the diet. His diet advice is very similar to other programs but he said a couple things that really helped me finally see some progress. The most important was you have to eat every day, even on the weekends. My weekends were killing my progress when I started tracking it. I had heard it before, but he really hammered it home.
Also, you are trying to put on weight. Go high on your calories then lower them. There are about 5 other tips that really helped me.
The workouts are similar to other programs, but this program is cheaper and has been just as effective for me. I am now benching 185 for the first time, and for 5 reps.
All my other lifts have gone up. The workouts get and stay hard. They take a little under and hour and I am gassed by Friday, but it is just 4 days a week, you can do it.
I really hate guys selling tons of sups. Alain only has a couple recommendations and clearly states how optional they are. If you are skinny and follow this book and work hard you will do three things. Get bigger, get stronger, and look better

Review: I wish I read this book before I spent over $4500 on personal trainers. Alain provides clear direction on how to get results without recycling information that is available on the internet for free. I thought I knew everything about dieting until I read Chapter 11 - Diet Hacks and I immediately adjusted my routine.

Review: Follow the book's guidelines and you'll pack on a ton of muscle. The secret? You aren't eating enough. The book had me basically double my food intake along with lift weights 5 days a week. I easily went from 6'1" 165 lbs, to 190 lbs in 90 days. Pic is 90 days after and before.

Review: This book is amazing! My whole life I've tried to gain strength and muscle and never had a successful approach. Alain's book is a thorough yet concise approach. It's readable and also short enough that you can reference from time to time. At 34 years old, I went from weighing 150lbs and benching 8 reps at 135 to 160lbs and benching 8 reps at 165. I maxed out at 200lbs after 4 months of working out! Alain, thanks for writing this and for all your online videos. They were motivating and educational. I also loved all the science... there's so much bad advice out there, it was great to know your recommendations were based off of science!

Review: I got an email about this book. Although I'm not skinny per se, but the physiology of skinny guys is my problem. I really work four days a week on increasing strength. I eat a no fast carb diet with lots of protein, some fat (in addition to burning body fat), and tons of green vegetables steamed and in salads. I'm just not adding muscle as fast as I'd like. I'm bench pressing 1.5X my weight (up from about half) and wondering when the muscles appear. So far, I've found in useful, but not loaded with new information (if there even is such a thing).

Review: For the past two years I have been struggling to gain muscle. I found this book and I have by far gained the best results from this program. It was easy to follow and in three months I had gained 13 pounds of muscle. I look and feel great. Highly recommend this book.
