Review: Learned so much from my first read through. So many things you can't simply "wing", or "stumble upon". In fact, taking time to read this, is going to give an edge over home studios that think they already have all figured out. If you're a guitarist recording your own music and your ready to take it to the next level, get this book!

Review: I'm a gigging musician who wants to get into recording. Mixing is an intimidating prospect to say the least. This book was very well laid out and I love the way he clearly intended this for beginners. A lot of these other books are not well written for beginners, they're written by people so used to using the stuff they're writing about that they completely forget that the basics are really not all that simple and things really need to be explained well and thoroughly. This book delivers on that 💯.

Review: I have been recording and playing since the late 60’s for local artists. At first it was as a hobby and then later as a profession. I have lost count of how many books I have read or skimmed through over the years, and I spent the last 15 years prior to my retirement teaching the art and technology of Sound Engineering at a local college.

I have learned more from Bobby Owsinski’s books and video presentations than from any other source. What makes them so useful is how Bobby presents information using simple, and easy step by step instructions that show not only how but also why. I have this edition and two previous editions. Each edition has been updated with the latest relevant developments in mixing technologies and practices.

Review: This book has some interesting content, but it looks self-published. The font size is large which inflates the page count, most images and illustrations have a copyright statement with the author’s name in them, in the same font size!

If the author had published this through a professional editor and typesetter, it would have been much better quality and it would have been easier to absorb his informative.
