Max Rockatansky is haunted by memories that many he tried to protect have failed. Captured, he is taken to the Warlord Immortan Joe's Citadel.
A nuclear disaster has turned the world into a wasteland. Amidst the fallen, Max survives. Imprisoned, his body is used as a "blood bag" for a sick War Boy named Nux.
Meanwhile, one of Joe's
lieutenants, Imperator Furiosa, is sent on a mission to extract fuel and ammunition. She and her crew undertake the mission in a heavily armored vehicle called the War Rig.
Joe realizes something is amiss when Furiosa deviates from the planned route in the War Rig. He sends his forces to pursue her with the help of Gas Town and Bullet Farm.
Nux joins the chase. A battle ensues between the War Rig and Joe's army along the way. The pursuit continues until a sandstorm hits. Can Max find a second chance at life amid the ongoing chaos?
