The Cross River State Football Association has concluded arrangements to organize this years’ GOVERNORS CUP COMPETITION, tagged, ‘SWEET PRINCE CUP 2023’.

According to the timeline for competition, 8th November has been fixed for the Draws and Seminar ; kickoff is fixed for 20th November ; while 17th December is the grand finale.

Meanwhile, all the 18 Local Government areas will present a team to celebrate His Excellency Cup, with 6 private clubs, 2 from each of the senatorial districts of the state. According, to the Technical department of the State Football Association, only 4 professional players are allowed for each team, while the rest players must come from the grassroots. This is to crave the way for new players to be fished out from the hinterlands areas.

However, corporate bodies are encouraged to join hands to support in partnership of this great event which will climax during the Xmas festival. Interested bodies should make enquiries at the Football Association Secretariat UJ Esuene stadium Calabar.

This is to inform you that registration for FA CUP is ongoing at the FA secretariat.

Fees :

Male - N150,000.00

Female — N100,000.00

The FA cup schedule according to NFF is as follows:

1, club registration- 24th October-24th November 2023

2, Late registration will attract a fine- N200,000

3, Return/submission of forms- 24th October-24th November

4, State FA Cup kick off-20th January 2024

5, State FA cup Final-25th January 2024

All registration are done through the state FA.
