Phil Foden is a Manchester City academy graduate who really shone in the eyes of manager Pep Guardiola since he was 17 years old and was seen to be the future of #ManCity midfield, hence dubbed the nickname 'Stockport Iniesta' .

Manchester City fans had high hopes on this young talented English midfielder and the moment he was included in the main team, it was the joy of every fan.

The boyhood Blue replaced the legendary Yaya Toure to make his Manchester City debut in a 1-0 Champions League win over Feyenoord.

It was, quite simply, a dream come true.Since then, he has become a main part of Guardiola's plans and one of the key players in Manchester City's recent success.

However, Phil Foden has never had a nailed on position at the club which leaves fans to debate.

No doubt about his qualities, as he is considered a 'generational talent' by most fans up and down the country.

Foden has been used in various positions by the manager, as a left-winger, right-winger, false 9 and attacking midfielder. The vision by most fans was for him to play left midfield in the void left by David Silva.

Recently Foden was asked by FG in his FC24 card reveal, "What is your best position." Phil said, "I'd say CAM or RW." Pep Guardiola then proceeded to play him LW three days later, a position which the manager has played him in 52% of his appearances.

Foden has notable perfomances on the right, the main one being the hatrick vs Manchester United (H) 22/23. At CAM would be vs Newcastle at the Etihad this season where he a record created seven chances and an assist in a 2-0 win.
