The Yakurr Local Government Council Secretariat is currently undergoing extensive renovations under the leadership of the Executive Chairman, Hon. Yibala Inyang. Upon assuming office, Hon. Yibala met the secretariat in a severely dilapidated state, with leaking roofs, broken infrastructure, and an overall unproductive environment for governance. Determined to change this, he prioritized the renovation of the council secretariat as part of his commitment to infrastructural development and effective governance.

The ongoing renovation includes structural repairs, roofing replacements, painting, and the upgrading of office spaces to create a more functional and efficient workspace. Additionally, critical amenities such as water supply, electricity, and sanitation systems are being improved to enhance the overall working environment for government officials, staff, and visitors.

Beyond rehabilitating the secretariat, Hon. Yibala Inyang is undertaking this project to ensure that the people at the grassroots feel the impact and sweetness of His Excellency, Sen. Prince Bassey Edet Otu’s administration in Cross River State. By improving infrastructure at the local government level, he is reinforcing the governor’s people-centered vision and ensuring that governance is brought closer to the people.

As work continues, the renovation of the Yakurr Local Government Council Secretariat stands as an emblem of Hon. Yibala Inyang’s proactive leadership and dedication to progress. The transformation of the secretariat will not only enhance service delivery but also create an administrative environment befitting the aspirations of the people of Yakurr.
