FCT MINISTER PRAISES ABUJA INDUSTRIAL PARK PROJECT, SAYS IT WILL BOOST NIGERIA'S ECONOMY

Abuja, Nigeria - The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Barrister Ezenwo Nyesom Wike, has commended the Abuja Industrial Park project, saying it has the potential to significantly grow Nigeria's economy and create employment opportunities for youths.
During a visit to the park on Wednesday, August 28, 2024, Barr. Wike expressed optimism about the project's potential, citing its approval as a free zone and regular power supply as major attractions for businesses.
"This is what we are talking about; growing the economy. This is what we are talking about; creating employment for the youths," the Minister said.
The Abuja Industrial Park, being developed by Zeberced Group, is expected to create approximately 40,000 jobs in the FCT when fully operational. The park, which sits on 250 hectares of land, features 208 workshops designed to support small and medium-scale industries.
Production of various products, including precast concretes and plastic pipes, is already ongoing at the park. The Minister praised the company for its commitment and assured the FCT Administration's continued support.
Barr. Wike also commended the company for expanding the road leading to the park and pledged the FCT Administration's support to ensure the project's completion.
The Minister expressed excitement about the level of development at the Abuja Industrial Park, stating that he would personally brief President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on the project's progress.
The visit was also attended by the Executive Secretary of FCDA, Engr. Shehu Hadi Ahmed, and other senior officials of the Administration.
