Following my recent appointment as Senior Special Assistant (SSA) to the Governor of Cross River State, Sen. Prince Bassey Otu, it is essential to address various observations and concerns that have emerged. I extend my heartfelt gratitude to His Excellency for this significant opportunity and affirm my commitment to fulfilling this role with integrity for the advancement of our state.

Prior to this appointment, I was recognized as a fervent advocate for social justice and the founder of Cross River Filter Room, a platform known for delivering verified news and information. My life philosophy centers on respecting and loving people while remaining fearless in expressing my views, regardless of who might be affected.

Recently, there have been concerns among my supporters and fellow appointees that my new role might compromise my dedication to social justice. I want to reassure my followers and the public that this appointment will not alter my commitment. Instead, I plan to enhance my service to humanity by continuing to represent the voice of the voiceless and ensuring that diverse opinions reach His Excellency for the betterment of Cross Riverians.

It is important to note that Governor Otu has known me since 2002, and throughout this period, my commitment to social justice has been unwavering. Anyone familiar with the Southern Senatorial District of our state can attest to my dedication. My role as SSA will not deter me from advocating for justice or cause me to compromise my principles for any reason.

While adapting my approach to news updates to align with the government’s communication strategies is necessary, my commitment to unbiased and transparent reporting will remain steadfast. I will continue to serve all citizens impartially, beyond political lines, and maintain my advocacy for social justice.

The appointment is both a recognition and a call for increased responsibility. I am prepared to meet this challenge by delivering impartial reports and supporting the Governor’s visionary plans for Cross River State.
