As you blossom into a woman with destiny untold,

Let us celebrate the Girl Child, each and every day,

For despite the challenges faced on this earthly way,

In a society that sometimes fails to see,

The power and grace a Girl can be.

To the mothers, the single mothers, and aunties so dear,

To the mighty ones holding positions of authority, without fear, to the girls who are still growing into full fleshed women who will take over the World power in years to come,

Oh virtuous women, shining bright in the crowd;

You've broken the barriers set upon the girl child,

Through your strength and wisdom, you've conquered the wild, you've become a force to be reckoned with and the for the Girl Child to look up to.

Today we celebrate you, holding you high,

May your light continue to shine, reaching the sky.

Just as the Theme for this Year Celebration goes:

"Invest in Girls' Rights: Our Leadership, Our Well-being."

I'd love highlight on Female Equality, a term that echoes strong,

Ignited by the words of Amiable Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie's books,

"Dear Ijeawele: A Feminist Manifesto," and "We Should All Be Feminists".

God bless her Heart.

Our eyes are opened, our hearts renewed.

Every girl child, take heed and read, these words of empowerment, a sacred seed.

Never feel that you cannot amount to something because you're a GIRL, or you cannot hold a World Position, likewise being heard. YOU CAN! YOU ABSOLUTELY CAN.

The Girl Child is worth a MILLION DOLLAR INVESTMENT and more. Let us Invest in the Girl Child, they are our Hope for Tomorrow.
