Review: Great collection of info. If you are like me however and garden with using common names for plants, get ready to expand your knowledge. This book is set up by botanical name. While I've always admired people who can rattle off the botanical name of a plant, I've never been one to be able to retain that information. I'm going through the book marking pages with tabs with the common names and definitely learning in the process.
I purchased this book after reading an article that recommended it. It's a great addition to my collection of gardening books.

Review: I've had this book for about a month or two and have learned much about my plants. I really like that it gives the heat zones (as well as the hardiness zones) for the plants. Living in the desert it is very helpful to see which plants can survive the summer heat. The back of the book has a list of all the genera as well as its species along with zones, light, sun, height, etc. for quick reference. The one thing I do not like, however, is that all the photos are listed in one section in the back of the book. This makes it a little annoying flipping back and forth to see the pictures.
