Title: Very Interesting story

Review: What an interesting and heartbreaking story this was . I noticed a few typos, but they certainly didn't detract from the story. Very well written. And I admire so much her commitment to these children in their time of need.

Title: Powerful Story

Review: This was a very well written book, with a very powerful and disturbing story. In my opinion, even though Mia lived after being damaged by abuse, it would have been far better if she hadn’t, and if she would have just died instantly, instead of being subjected to the quality of life that she had. She was so young, she didn’t even understand what was going on, and all this baby knew was sickness, distress and pain. She experienced no pleasure whatsoever. In addition, I’m sure it cost a small fortune just to keep her alive, and pay for all of her medical care and all of the equipment that she required basically to just “exist”, which I’m sure caused others to go without care they actually could have benefited from. If someone’s pet would ever be subjected to the type of injuries, conditions and quality of life that Mia had, it would be widely agreed upon that the most humane thing to do would be to put it out of it’s misery—to ”put it to sleep”. It’s very unfortunate that wasn’t able to be done for Mia. The parents most definitely should have been charged with her death. It’s disgusting that they just got away with it.

Review: What a read! I’m gonna make this short but my heart cried for baby Mia. It was hard to comprehend how much work had to be done for this little one. And with taking on two more young boys after getting Mia. I would read and just shake my head and let the tears flow thinking of this precious one. And the family who at first didn’t want to take on a child requiring this much work. Kuddos to all the people who came into Mia’s life. I wish the birth mother would have rotted in Hell for what she did in a split moment. Heartbreaking. May this little Angel watch over all her newest family who loved her as their own child.

Title: Truth beyond words.. Touching

Review: Anyone with a child having disabilities, or a friend worth such a child should read this to have an idea what the parents ate going through. Heartbreaking that this horrible mother killed her child but was never held accountable and continued access was disgusting. However the support and love given to get foster parents - the only REAL parents and family she had - is rare and lovely to know. Bless those who take any child in need into their home - but those who care for a child who suffers as Mia - I hope social services has advanced enough to give these "carers" the respect they need - in addition too the support they did receive - and keep those children away from the forced contact that so obviously was harmful --- and take away any and all rights to such child during care and upon death that the birth patent was allowed in this story. Beautiful to read off so much love and acceptance - horror and fury at the system who forced Mia to ever be in her birth mother's presence; and the rights and access she wad given at Mia's death. Heartbreaking but full of love and hope and the beautiful things we are capable of as humans.

Review: If only Mia had been born into this foster family instead of the one she was so much would have been different. I stand amazed at the love poured out on this little girl who was so profoundly damaged by a parent. Shaken baby syndrome still affects too many children and the results are devastating for all involved. Yet this story is about loving and caring for the least one.

Review: What a sad, sad, story. The sad part is probably she should not have been brought back to life after being shaken so violently. She would not have had to go through epilepsy or any of the other things she did go through. So thankful she had such wonderful foster parents to watch over her!!!! God be with you is my prayer. Mia rest in peace.
