Part of the Pharmacy Technician Series, Sterile Products is a comprehensive book covering the complex practice of sterile product preparation and correct aseptic technique.  Updated in a brand new edition, this book covers the latest principles of aseptic technique, terms, methods, products and includes a "how-to" on standard sterile product preparations. It has current step-by-step instructions wiith color photographs of various aseptic techniques.

Second, this book is small. Not the lengthy textbooks I'm used too when buying a textbook. A good majority of the content in the book is questions relating to the previous section. When buying a book written by the founder of one of the largest pharmacy technician organizations you would expect a little more substance.

Would I recommend this as a "textbook"? No. Would I recommend this as a supplement technique book for those wanting to become a more advanced pharmacy technician? Yes.

Bottom line, only buy this book if you either absolutely need it or you're working towards an advanced credential in the pharmacy world.

Review: Any pharmacy technician who aspire to work at inpatient pharmacy in hospital or home care pharmacy should understand every detail in this book. The important of septic technique can not be over emphasizer. Anyone familiar with Emily Law with know sterile procedure in not a playing issue in pharmacy.
