On behalf of my family, management and Staff of the ministry of Sports Development, Cross River State, I heartily felicitate with the President and Commander in Chief of the Federal Republic Of Nigeria' Alhaji Bola Ahmed Tinubu and his Vice, my principal, the Peoples First Governor of Cross River State' Sen.Prince. Bassey Edet Otu and his dear wife, the deputy Governor Rt Hon. Peter Odey, the executive council, people of Cross River State and entire Nigerians on the auspicious occasion of Nigeria's Democracy Day June 12.

Democracy Day is a historic day that commemorates our freedom as a sovereign Nation and is a remarkable day in our history as a people, the day has given us freedom to political affiliation, choice of our leaders and in extension brought about intense economic development to us as a country.

For us in Cross River State, Democracy has led us to the path of progression, taking us through administrations that have not failed us in the delivery of democratic gains to the citizenry especially now that we have a Peoples First Governor who has demonstrated great democratic disposition in all ramification through his life enhancing projects that includes tremendous develop of the health sector, Agriculture, Education, Road infrastructure and unrelenting unleash of empowerments to the citizens, with his intentions geared towards making life easy for Cross Riverians and placing them on the path of wealth creation.

I express my deep veneration for those men and women who courageously fought for Nigeria's Democracy and sincerely appreciate them for their determination to fight for the freedom and development we enjoy today.

As we continue in this democratic journey, let's remember that the task of Nation building is a collective responsibility and more so continue to pray for Nigeria, support Government policies and unite for the Sustenance of our democracy and continuous progress of our State and Nation.
