Spotify's appointment of Sameen Khawaja and REHMA as ambassadors of EQUAL Pakistan for the months of April and May respectively has expanded the profile of female artists in the local music scene. As part of Spotify's ongoing program to showcase the country's most promising female voices, REHMA's song "HYPNOTIC" will feature prominently on EQUAL Pakistan's playlist throughout this month.

REHMA is a Los Angeles-based R&B and alternative pop artist who has been captivating listeners with his dreamy, introspective music for over eight years. With major releases in English and a mix of Urdu and English, REHMA has garnered a niche following, with 66% of his listeners being female. Its most significant markets include the US, India, UK, Canada and Australia.

Rutaba Yaqub, Senior Editor, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Spotify, expressed her excitement about adding REHMA to the EQUAL program in May, saying, "REHMA's music embodies the spirit of exploration and authenticity we value at Spotify. We first discovered REHMA with a focus on the Pakistani community, and are excited to continue supporting her journey as an artist through our Fresh Finds program in September 2023."

REHMA joins the ongoing EQUAL Ambassador Series, which includes Samin Khawaja, an up-and-coming indie pop star from Islamabad, in April. Samin's song "Faithless" was featured on EQUAL Pakistan playlists throughout April, showcasing her unique blend of pop, rock, and electronic elements. Samin has connected with audiences in Pakistan, India, Bangladesh, the US, and Canada through her highly personal and introspective songwriting. Her ability to resonate with a young and dynamic audience is evident with 56% of her listeners falling into her 18-27 age range.
