On December 31, 2011, Erin Langworthy had her own personal lesson. Erin, who was 22 years old at the time, had traveled to Zambia after receiving her degree from college. Erin took advantage of the opportunity to bungee leap over Victoria Falls' Zambezi River, which is home to a sizable population of Nile crocodiles, while on a safari. Erin was anxious because this was her first time bungee jumping, but she watched as many of the other members of her party successfully completed the leap before her. But she would not say that her personal experience was typical.
