THE PRIDE OF GHANA POLICE SERVICE

YESTERDAY, as I sat in to listen to IGP Dr. Akuffo Dampare. I told myself that after all, it is true what the good book says " all things work together for good for those who trust the Lord". Though it is an early day yet, but I must confess the man has given an excellent account of himself and has proven to most Ghanaians why he deserves more than his destructors to be the IGP of Ghana Police Force. And I won't wait to eulogize this excellent exemplary policeman  at his funeral.

THERE is a lot of things the man has said yesterday that made a lot of sense. I must admit that what he said about visiting sick police officers all over the country  is very true, because I felt it in my home: I heard he visited a cousin who has been bedridden for God knows for how long.  My family and I feel very honoured by his visit. And I doff my hat for him.

WHAT about the thought of his team of meeting elections in this country with equal importance the political parties attach to them.  What is the accusation that he is the worse IGP this country has ever seen just because he empowered the police force to apply the laws as stated in  our law books to our political figures and army officers, then I LOVE this worse IGP. I want to thank President Nana Addo for getting this Right.

DESTRUCTORS of IGP Dr. Dampare actually epitomised the psychic of our society. And let's not run away from it, most of us think along the lines COP George Mensah reasons. That is the  reasons why he wants and deserves  to be IGP are: 1.- He is a party man 2. He wants to help their party to remain in power against the will of the masses. 3. He will allow his party leaders to flaut the laws of the country with impunity. And what he calls a cordial working relationship is to allow those in power to go score free when they commit traffic offences  Indeed  he deserves to be IGP in Ghana because that is  the society we've built over the years.

IF YESTERDAY hearing has done nothing at all,  at least it has restored some of us our Trust in the Ghana Police Force. Secondly it has pointed us to the New Ghana that we will all LOVE. So let's all learn to brighten the small corner where we are.  Kudos to IGP Dr  Dampare and his team. God Bless you all and your good works. God bless our Homeland Ghana and make our Nation Great and Strong.
