was a cold morning, rain had fallen all through the night and I could still remember being wrapped around in the arms of my boyfriend. I woke up and I didn't see my boyfriend on his side of the bed. Still happy from the moment we had the night before, I stood up to look for him.

I checked the bathroom and he was not there, then I started calling his name as I walked to the sitting room.

Baby, babe, Alex , there was no response. I checked the kitchen but he was not there. Then I went back to the room to pick my phone, I dialed his number, still smiling as I could not get him away from my head, but the call went straight to voicemail.

I went back to the sitting room, then my eyes immediately saw a letter on the center table that was in the sitting room. My heart began to beat faster as I opened the letter.

Dear Chisom,

I am deeply sorry for letting you know about what I want to say using this medium. When you read this letter, I would have been on my flight to the US. I'm sorry for not telling you about this but I knew you will not be happy about me travelling across the country. I am really sorry for leaving like this. I love you chi. Till we meet again.

Tears welled up in my eyes as I read through the letter and I didn't know when I bursted into tears and fell to the floor. The man I cherished and loved has left me and told me through a letter

A fucking letter!, I deserved more than that.

But what could I do, It was over.
