I found out my husband was cheating

I (f29) and my husband (m29) have been married 3.5 years and we have a two year old.

Last week he told me he was planning a trip three hours away (to another state) for the weekend to have a Halo tournament with his buddies. I didn’t love the idea but I didn’t think anything of it. So he left on Friday afternoon and I followed his pin on Life360 (for safety, not because I didn’t trust him). I went to play with my son and didn’t think about it for a few hours. I checked the app again before going to bed and his pin was at a hotel. He told me he was supposed to be at his friends house but I told myself I was being paranoid. I tried calling him and it took several calls for him to pick up and he was annoyed. I could just tell something was off. His voice seemed just different to me.

So I messaged one of his Xbox buddies (he was the best man in our wedding. We aren’t besties but we’ve always been friendly). He revealed to me there was no guys weekend planned and he had no idea what he was talking about.

I called my husband again and told him I knew he was cheating. I don’t feel anger easily but I went off on him. I was livid (and I still am). He immediately confessed everything. He met a girl on discord and they planned this hookup for over a month. He told me he felt abandoned and unloved.

I am so fucking hurt, betrayed, angry. I feel like I want to leave but I’m terrified. He’s my best friend, my soulmate. I feel like someone died.

He claims he wants to change and that he will go to therapy. I just don’t know if that’s enough.

I’m not really asking for advice. I’m more so just venting.
