The Everest High Passes Trek is a highly adventurous excursion in the Everest Region of Nepal. Crossing the challenging and technical high passes over 5000 meters, you can feel sublimity at the lap of Mt. Everest. Renjo La Pass, Cho La Pass, and Khongma La Pass are the Three Passes that include a side trip to the Everest Base Camp and Gokyo Lakes/Ri. Everest: 3 Passes Trek begins at Lukla. Another option is to start with Jiri and follow the trail used by Tenzing Norgay Sherpa and Edmund Hillary. Passing the Dudh Koshi valleys, you reach Monjo, from where the entry into Sagarmatha National Park begins. Then you get to Namche Bazaar and take an exploration hike to the Everest View Hotel and Khumjung Valley. If you are on Friday and Saturday at Namche, there will be a weekly market, so you can visit this market too. This weekly market is dedicated to local suppliers. The trek leads you through Tengboche and Dingboche to the lap of the world’s highest peak, Mt. Everest (8848m), after crossing the highest pass of Everest, Khongma La Pass (5555m). Visiting Mt. Everest Base Camp, you descend to Dzongla and cross the technical Cho La Pass (5367m) to reach the Gokyo Valley; there, you will see some beautiful lakes. The views of Everest region peaks, including Mt. Everest, Lhotse, Lhotse Shar, Makalu, and others, can be explored, as can the views from Gokyo Ri and Renjo La (5340m). Not only the mountains, the old monasteries with reincarnated lamas, and the Sherpa culture, but also the lifestyle, flora, and fauna are other attractions of the Everest High Pass Trekking. You head directly, cross the pass, descend to Phakding, and gradually reach Lukla.
