One of the most well-known tourist sites in Nepal and the rest of the globe is Everest Base Camp. Trekking is the most common means of transportation from Kathmandu to Everest Base Camp. There are numerous trekking tours that take you to this well-known location. Lukla, which you can get to by taking a quick, exciting flight from Kathmandu or Ramechhap, is where most people start their treks to Everest Base Camp. Following your arrival at Lukla Airport, you will begin your journey by trekking to Phakding. Next, you will trek to Namche, Tengboche, Dingboche, Lobuche, and Gorakshep before beginning your Base Camp trip.
You can alternatively go by land from Kathmandu to Everest Base Camp if you have a longer vacation or are apprehensive about flying to Lukla. You can take a bus from Lukla to Jiri and then begin walking via Shivalaya, Bhandar, Sette, Junbesi, Nunthala, Kharikhola, Paiya, Surki, and Chaurikharka before connecting to the path in Chheplung. You continue on a traditional hiking route up to the base camp and Kala Patthar after meeting the Lukla to Everest Base Camp route in Chheplung.
From Salleri or Phaplu, there is another overland route to EBC. From Kathmandu, you can take a jeep to Salleri or take a flight before beginning your journey on foot through Taksindo, Kharikhola, Surki, and Chheplung. The new road building caused it to be a new route that began a few years ago.
You can also travel there straight if you are unable to hike in the high altitudes and chilly climates or do not have enough time to visit Everest Base Camp from Kathmandu.
