According to legend, Jack Daniel, the famous distiller of Tennessee whiskey, died after kicking a safe in frustration when he couldn't remember the combination to the safe.
After the blow, he developed an infection in his toe that eventually spread to his leg.
Despite medical treatment, the infection was not able to be stopped, and Jack Daniel died in 1911 at the age of 66.
