Ancient coins weighing 460 kg found in Shaanxi
An ancient coin cellar dating back to the Northern Song Dynasty (960-1127) was recently discovered in Baishui County of Weinan City in northwest China's Shaanxi Province, where an estimated 100,000 coins were unearthed. Archaeologists said that few people could have had so many coins at that time, and initial analysis shows they belonged to an old-style private bank that buried the coins during wars.
