The Holy Spirit is a powerful force of love and grace that is part of the Triune Godhead, along with God the Father and Jesus Christ. The Holy Spirit is often referred to as the Spirit of truth, the Comforter, and the Helper. He is believed to have been active since Creation and is both God and distinct from God. The Holy Spirit is seen as the source of inspiration and guidance for believers and works in the lives of people to bring about spiritual transformation. The Holy Spirit is believed to be involved in the process of regeneration, giving believers a new heart and empowering them to live a life of obedience to God. The Holy Spirit is also seen as the source of spiritual gifts and power to the Church, and is believed to be the source of the spiritual gifts of knowledge, faith, healing, and prophecy. He is also believed to lead believers into all truth and to help them understand the Scriptures. The Holy Spirit is also seen as the source of comfort and strength in times of trial and difficulty. The Holy Spirit is the source of the fruit of the Spirit; love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. He is also seen as the one who convicts of sin and leads people to repentance and faith in Jesus Christ.
