Imran Khan Niazi, commonly known as Imran Khan, is a Pakistani politician and former cricketer. He was born on October 5, 1952, in Lahore, Pakistan. Imran Khan played cricket for the Pakistan national team from 1971 to 1992 and captained the team to victory in the 1992 Cricket World Cup. After retiring from cricket, he founded the political party Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) in 1996. Imran Khan became the 22nd Prime Minister of Pakistan on August 18, 2018. He is known for his efforts to combat corruption and improve the country's economy.
