Review: The book is very slim. The book is only glued to the cover along a narrow strip of the last page, virtually guaranteeing the pages will rip free within the year. The book is very small in height and width. The printing of both the drawings and the text is in light gray which is difficult to read.Recommend you buy the "Morpho: Anatomy for Artists" book instead. For twice the price you get over three times the pages, a larger format, darker printing and a better binding.

Review: Finally an art instruction/reference book that understands what we need in terms of form, functionality and information.Sort of a modern day "Fun With a Pencil".Not a Fritz Schider encyclopedia.- First let's us say:Thank you for the special creative binding design. This allows the book to lay flat so that we can easily work from the images. The pages being fully sewn in and glued as well.Very clean very strong. Some users falsely claim the pages "are guaranteed to rip out within a year" . The pages are fully secure and will not rip out. The quality of the book construction and materials is very good and a step above most other art instruction books.- Size:We appreciate the format size and find it handy because it is the dimensions and <thickness of a journal/sketchbook so it easily fits in our backpack, purse, lunch bag, tote, or liquor bag.The light weight. Less than half the weight of the various anatomy for artists tomes.It is perfect the augment for our home, studio, park, or travel.- Content:Easy & enjoyable reference for sketching. The poses are full of human expression and life. They vary from dynamic to quiet, with a good variety of perspectives too.Refreshing to have models of various ages and races.Very helpful having body parts all broken out to step by step sketches. Each body part related to geometric form so our brains can put the complexities aside and focus on building the forms.-The chaptersBegins with the head and ends at the feet.We like this chapter sequence because it makes to easy find any part of the human anatomy.-The textUnobtrusive. Pictorial information is about 90% on most pages.Text is helpful information about muscle/skeletal interaction.Some naming of muscles and anatomical details but not exhaustive.The text does about 2% of the instructing; the pictures do the rest.The text is light colored would help if it were 2 shades darker.10 10 Recommend this book . Good for all sorts of artists serious or casual, from classical to anime.......Without this book you are missing out on a valuable part of your skill building and encouragement to practice.Peace,Smiley

Review: Bought all 3 books in this series. Some people don't seem to like the binding in these smaller books, but I actually really like the binding in this book and the skeleton/bone reference book. It's good because you can open the book and spread the book out so it lies completely flat on the table. The book pages are stitched together, which is good, because I like stitched pages more than glued pages. Also, I wasn't sure if I should get the 2 mini books because I thought maybe the drawings were exactly the same as what's in the bigger anatomy book, but they're not, they're different drawings that are focused more on simplified forms (orange book) and bone/reference points (blue book). So I'm glad I got them all. Looking forward to the fat and skin folds book.

Review: This little book is honestly everything I needed it to be, if you've bought or considered getting Michael Hampton's book figure drawing: design and invention hold off on it, get this one first, this is the more friendly version of that book and honestly I like this little morpho book better already, 10/10 would reccomend

Review: A good little quick reference for the basic anatomical shapes. It doesn’t really go into proportion or “how to draw”, but if you know all of that stuff, or are studying it, this book has a lot of great drawings and little shorthand methods for constructing a figure.As others have mentioned it, The binding is supposed to be that way. Fabriano sketchbooks are also bound this way so that the book will lay flat.

Review: PRINT QUALITY: content is clear, no pages have bad print quality. Since it is fairly small, text is small so anyone that wants to read thoroughly will have to squint a bit if you don't have good vision.COVER QUALITY:nice thick, cardstock-like quality, shiny finish if that matters to you, has a unique binder(2nd pic) Someone said its broken but seeing how there's no leftover glue on the inner cover or scraping/breakage at the binding point, it seems like it's intentionally made like this.but that doesn't really bother me so..CONTENT QUALITY:good variety of differing facial features ,the bodily anatomy covers, both masc and femme, about mid-average of body sizes(understandably ig, since there is a book for plus-ser sizes)FUNCTIONALWISE:my small hands span the width of 6.5 inches/approx 17cm so holding large anatomy books are a pain thus why I think this size is very comfortable.*THE ENDanyways this is very handy thus 5/5 stars maybe ill update this later after i test its endurance in a household of 9 :]
