
Every single journey has a specific starting point, and this has more in common with mastering oneself. Frankly speaking, when the general public obviously proves a person not to have characteristics of self-involvement, not to be overly optimistic regarding his own views, and considers him to identify his vulnerabilities and not to assume he already knows all that needs to be known (Emamzadeh A, 2018); the truth is that he has the potential to excel at school and in other daily activities in the community. Having personal traits that shade light on the ability which has no room in the mind of a silly person serves as the starting point of the journey of mastering oneself (Grant, 2018). Arguably, one person can competently perform in all areas but he can excel in one or two areas that depict a unique talent. Generally speaking, an individual’s talents are easy to identify, however; not all people follow them for varying reasons. Basically, knowing one’s talent is one of many steps in the process of mastering oneself and can undoubtedly lead to success in most areas of life. More importantly, not underestimating one’s level of intelligence and not overestimating the same is helpful when it comes to performing in any field including but not limited to learning new things both informally and formally (Paul, 2020).
Judging and measuring one’s performance in both class and in the community; several factors are in place for consideration as they serve as pillars on which mental performance is built. Clearly, the main factors that one should consider when it comes to measuring and judging individual student’s performance include mental distress (K & Sund, 2019) which has numerous sources. The knowledge of such sources is important and the same are discussed below to assist in mastering oneself; a means to discover the inner potential of a student to put an end to failure.
