United States considers Advocate Rusere's concern over Zimbabwe's 2023 elections

The United Nations Human Rights Office, OHCHR, has considered Zimbabwe’s Advocate Talent Rusere’s concern over Zimbabwe’s recurrence of disputed elections and increasing the probability that Zimbabwe’s 2023 elections will be supervised by the United Nations international body. The OHCHR said this Rusere had placed a detailed report of voter intimidation and massive coercion linked to Emerson Mnangagwa’s ZANU PF party. Ahead of the 30 July poll, Liz Throssell, OHCHR spokesperson, told the press that, the UN staff could not verify the reports. Three Senior Advocates of Nigeria have tackled the Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami (SAN), and the Director-General of the Department of State Services, Yusuf Bichi, over the continued detention of 12 aides of Yoruba Nation agitator, Sunday Adeyemo, despite meeting all bail conditions.
