The attention of the Nigeria Football Supporters Club (NFSC) has been drawn to an online circulation of images of our club's bus on our way back from Ivory Coast after performing our role as official fans to support the Super Eagles of Nigeria to their second position in the just concluded AFCON which took place in Ivory Coast.

Ordinarily, NFSC should have ignored the mischievous post which one mazitundeednut on Instagram employed to bring the image of the club to disrepute by misinforming the public that we are still not back to the country on his Instagram account, but this official statement becomes necessary so that we can clear the air.

Recall that the NFSC arrived Abidjan, with a contingent of 3 Coaster buses and six private cars, conveying Nigerians and also mobilizing support upon arrival to ensure that our dear Super Eagles gets all the necessary support needed to enable them accomplish their goal in Ivory Coast.

Our arrival was in the city of Abidjan where our hotel was located and we had to travel 7 hours on several occasions to different location where the Super Eagles played their matches after they progressed to the knockout stage and in each of these trips, we returned to our location with these same vehicles that brought us to Abidjan.

The vehicles could obviously be prone to having technical issues, going by the level of distance it was covering and we from time to time had to ensure adequate maintenance is provided as well as provision of other necessary lubricant which the vehicles needed to enable it function effectively.

However, on our way back to Nigeria after giving the Super Eagles the necessary support that made them lose to Ivory Coast, one of the buses developed technical issues and we had to wait to fix it and this was done within a period of 3 hours after which we continued our journey back to Nigeria.

As at the time when the mischief maker who circulated the pictures did so, all our members have arrived Nigeria and has long ago continued with their normal business, but it's so sad that the selfless effort which we put in place to support our national team is not appreciated by some disgruntled elements who feels that making mockery out of our challenge should be a source of seeking popularity on social media.

We once again thank all our sponsors, both cooperate organizations and individuals as well as many meaning Nigerians who believed in us to disregard those junks circulated the mischief makers and standing by us as we stood by the Super Eagles up to the last minute.

We look forward to planning ahead of the Morocco 2025 AFCON where hopefully we shall stand by the Super Eagles once again to accomplish their task of winning their fourth continental title.

The Nigeria Football Supporters Club appreciates you all and we shall keep standing by our National teams from time to time.
