Lauds the giant strides of the new Vice Chancellor, Prof. Kate Azuka Omenugha On Thursday February 22, 2024, Mr. Valentine Ozigbo was present at Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University (COOU), Anambra State to felicitate with Prof. C.J Ubanyionwu, LL.B, LL.M, PhD, BL (Professor of Constitutional Law), as he delivered the 10th Inaugural Lecture titled "Election Petition in Nigeria, A Legal Quagmire."

Prof Ubanyionwu, by the delivery, has helped put Amesi, the hometown of Mr. Ozigbo, on the academic map. The lecture was the 1st of such in the Law Faculty. Mr. Ozigbo also used the opportunity to congratulate, support and encourage the newly appointed Vice Chancellor of the university, Prof. Kate Azuka Omenugha, as she inaugurated the University's research team.

He also expressed delight at the significant efforts and systems Prof Azuka-Omenugha is putting in place to propel the university towards greater heights within Nigeria and the world at large. Prof. Ubanyionwu, who boasts of a rich and nearly inexhaustible curriculum vitae, was born on November 30, 1972 at Amesi, Aguata LGA. He got his primary and secondary school education at Central School, Amesi and Christ The Redeemer College, Amesi, respectively.

The best graduating student of Political Science and overall best graduating student from the Social Studies Department, Federal College of Education, Eha - Amufu Enugu State, he gained admission into Faculty of Law, Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka in 1992 and won the Prof. Chuks Okpalauba's best Constitutional Law student in the1992/93 academic session. He graduated with 2nd Class Upper Division from UNIZIK Law Faculty and the Nigerian Law School, Bwari Abuja in 1999, respectively.

Ubanyionwu is the author of the book "Quick Reference Compendium for Court Room Trials" and has sold over 2,000 copies of this book. He is also the author of the book, "Incorruptible Judge, Selected Judgments of Hon. Justice Dennis C. Maducchesi" Volume 1 – 4. He has also authored over 30 monographs and published well researched articles on several Law journals. In his congratulatory speech, Mr. Ozigbo had this to say:

"Prof Ubanyionwu is my brother and secondary school mate and I am proud to identify with him as he delivered this groundbreaking Inaugural Lecture. What we witnessed here today is a product of years of hard work, focus, dedication and consistency. I am proud of him, as a brother and as an indigene of Amesi. Amesi is proud of him, and that is why we came out in numbers to support him today. I wish him continued success and many more achievements."
