My name is Mickie and I am here to help students or teach them in adapting a good method in reading and understanding. These days, many of us especially the youths, find it so difficult to understand when studying. We might, or can be having problems in understanding whatever we read. I have come across students who read maybe in preparation for a competition or an examination but find it so difficult to fully understand it. But with some time,I did some research and I found out many tips that can help each youth or students achieve a better understanding and knowledge when reading.

Below are the tips for a better understanding and reading;

1. YOU MUST BE IN YOUR STABLE MIND

2. YOU MUST BE IN YOUR MOOD OF READING:- In other to understand,you will have to be in the mood to read or else your mind will be into so many things that will make you be distracted.So it's better you adapt the method of reading without thinking of things or distracting your self with your mindset.

3. YOU MUST KNOW YOUR PERFECT READING TIME:- Many make mistakes here.Some students will feel that the best reading time for them is in the morning, whereas it's in the evening and vice versa. As a student, you must know your perfect reading time, that is either ( AM) in the morning or (PM) in the evening. Know your best time that is convenient or suitable for you.

4. READ IN A PEACEFUL ENVIRONMENT:-

Adapt the habit of reading in a cool and peaceful environment, for it helps in understanding better.

5. KNOW YOUR READING CAPAC-ITY:- For a better understanding, you have to know your reading capacity. Know your reading hours, some of us can read for 3 hours or more. while some can read for an hour and already feel exhausted. So knowing your reading hours will also help you a lot.

6.FOR A BETTER UNDERSTANDING:- Learn how to pick out those words unknown or hard for you to understand and do research on it,for this will do you a lot of good,by improving your reading habits and understanding.

Most importantly, you have to provide yourself a sheet of paper or a jolter when reading. This helps to provide a better understanding by writing down a summary of the things you read and also memorizing it. Then you will know if you really did understand or you are not certain or lost.
