After letting people bully him all his life, Guillaume thought he was a failure, that he was worth nothing and wanted to kill himself just 5 years ago... At that moment, a voice in his heart told him it was not over for him and he had purpose.

That's when he went on a journey to find his purpose which led him from quitting his firefighting career to pursue investing, social entrepreneurship, philanthropy, public speaking, writing, and activism eventually spending two summers cleaning forests and creeks from human’s trash and making videos to inspire others around the world to do the same.

Last year, after being guided by a large raven who flew in front of him for 10 minutes while he was bicycling on a cycling path in the forest, he knew he would have to travel West.

With less than $18 left in his bank account, he started a journey across Canada on his mountain bike for Love, Harmony and Peace between all nations where he found his heart had a great connection with the native peoples.

His ancestors come from France and Scotland and he discovered this winter that his great great grandmother was Algonquin from Temiscamingue in Quebec. He is from the Clan Martin or the Tribe of Martin, being MacMartin descent from Scotland. He is also Marten clan with the native peoples as he is very close to the land and the waters and is a protector of Mother Nature as well as the people.

Guillaume is French for William and means “vehement (powerful) protector”.

His spirit name is One Who Walks With A Strong Heart which means a lot to him considering he was ready to give up on his life 5 years ago and that he now inspires the people he crosses path with to forgive the past and to live with Love in their hearts.

His bike journey started at his dad’s cottage after seeing the raven and being inspired by reading a few of Paulo Coelho’s books (The Alchemist is just too good!!) and reading his late grandparents’ 4-month travel journal to Mexico with their Westfalia in 1986-87 to visit their friend who was a missionary with the native communities when Guillaume was just 1 year old and reading all the adventures they had over there.

From Firefighter and Fire Investigator, he his now serving with the native communities as a Fire Keeper and Helper during his nomadic journey.
