Makkah and Madinah Ziyarath.

The city of Makkah and Madinah witness the arrival of millions of pilgrims throughout the year. Traveling for the holy rituals of Hajj and Umrah in Makkah, pilgrims also visit Madinah for Ziyarath purposes through their umrah 2023 packages. Though none of the pilgrimage’s rituals are associated with visiting Madinah, pilgrims do it for the love of the Holy Prophet (SAWW) because the Roza-e-Rasool is present in Masjid-al-Nabawi in Madinah.

After the performance of holy rituals, the majority of pilgrims have plenty of time to spend in Saudia Arabia. Hence, the best way to spend this time is opting for the Ziyarath of the holy sites present in the region. There are hundreds of sacred mosques, caves, hills, graveyards, and other regions where one can go and learn about the Islamic history associated with them.

So, here’s a brief guide to Makkah and Madinah Ziyarath.

Masjid-e-Aisha (RA).

Also known as ‘Masjid-e-Taneem’, Masjid-e-Aisha is a significant architectural landmark present in Makkah. Present at a distance of approximately 8 kilometers from the Holy Kaabah, pilgrims utilize this mosque as a Meeqat region as well.

Usually, pilgrims offer their Nafal Salah at this place i.e., initiating the holy journey of Umrah from here.

Masjid-e-Qiblatayn.

The mosque of two Qiblas i.e., Masjid-e-Qiblatayn is located in Madinah. The mosque remains historically important for Muslims because this is the exact place where the revelation of the Quran was made to Hazrat Muhammad (SAWW) to change the direction of Qibla from Bait-al-Maqdis (Jerusalem) to the Holy Kaabah (Makkah).

Cave of Hira.

Situated on Jabal-al-Nour (the Mountain of Light), Hira cave is the place where the first-ever revelation of the Holy Quran was made to Prophet Muhammad (SAWW). Hazrat Jibril (AS) came as per the will of Allah Almighty and revealed the first few verses of Surah-al-Alaq during the month of Ramadan.

However, Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (SAWW) used to go to this cave for praying even before his (SAWW) prophethood started. That’s why the cave of Hira remains one of the most remarkable Islamic landmarks because of its historical association with the origin of Islam.

It is situated at a height of 642 meters approximately and it’s a steep trek that can take you anywhere from 45 minutes to 3 hours i.e., depending on your physical abilities.

Masjid-e-Abu Bakar (RA).

Abu Bakar (RA) was a great companion of the Holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (SAWW). Masjid-e-Abu Bakar was originally the home of Hazrat Abu Bakar (RA) but later it was converted to a masjid by Saudi authorities. Today, it is present in Madinah city of the region.

Jannat al-Mu’alla.

Among the oldest Islamic cemeteries, Jannat al-Mu’alla is a historical Islamic landmark present in Makkah city. Here, Prophet Muhammad’s (SAWW) first wife Hazrat Khadija (RA); his (SAWW) teacher Abu Talib, and other ancestors are resting.

This graveyard is located approximately at a drive of ten minutes from the Holy Kaabah and pilgrims visit this place to pay their respect.

These are some of the significant sites for Makkah and Madinah Ziyarath which you can visit via booking Cheapest umrah packages.
