HYGIENE AND HEALTH

The three basic necessities of man are generally accepted to be food, shelter, and clothes. Food is unquestionably the most crucial of these, as humans can only go without it for a short period of time, in contrast to the millions of people who lack clothing and shelter but manage to live long lives. Environmental, social, and mental factors all have an impact on health. Diet is one major environmental component that is crucial for the promotion and maintenance of good health over the course of one's entire life. Chronic disease prevention is greatly aided by diet. However, it is regrettable that despite the significance of nutrition in the promotion and maintenance of health, the majority of people in both developed and and emerging nations give their cuisine relatively little thought, which has highly negative effects on their health. There is growing scientific evidence to support the idea that dietary changes have significant implications on health throughout life, both positively and negatively. Most crucially, it has been demonstrated that early-life nutritional insults affect a person's likelihood of developing chronic diseases including diabetes, cardiovascular disease, and cancer much later in life (Barker's Hypothesis - Fetal origin of adult diseases).

What are a few problems with our diet?

Our stores are stocked with tasty packaged meals that satisfy our palates but degrade our nutrition. We must obtain these nutrients from other sources because the refining process removes the majority of the natural nutrients from these meals.

Our diet is largely composed of processed foods with artificial coloring, flavoring, and sweeteners as well as other additions and additives. Our bodies might be receiving the incorrect signals from these additions and chemically changed substances instead of the information they require to perform effectively.

Twenty years ago, our food wasn't what it is today. Food grown in the soil contains less nutrients since the soil's nutrients have been depleted. Growing numbers of chemicals are used to raise both plants and animals, especially on large industrial farms that focus on a few products

We frequently eat for speed and convenience rather than for our health or enjoyment. Our reliance on fast food also deprives us of the pleasures of preparing and appreciating a delicious meal, and our hectic lifestyles frequently prohibit us from bonding over a satisfying meal.

How are we impacted by bad nutrition?

Our capacity to live a fulfilling and active life can be hampered by poor nutrition, which can also affect our everyday health and wellness. Short-term effects of poor nutrition include stress, fatigue, and reduced productivity. Long-term effects include an increased risk of certain diseases and other health issues, including: being overweight or obese, tooth decay, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, heart disease and stroke, type-2 diabetes, osteoporosis, some cancers, depression, and eating disorders.

Tips for eating well

1)Eat a variety of things

2)Watch the portions.

3)Consume a lot of fruit and vegetables.

4)limit added sugar and refined grains

5)Eat more Fish and Nuts

6)Cut back on animal fats

7)Avoid trans fats.

8)Keep Sodium Low, Potassium High

9)Be Active

Conclusion

Do not attempt to resemble anyone else since you are fearfully and wonderfully made. Start living healthily now rather than waiting for the ideal opportunity to do so.A person who eats well is likely to live longer than a person who doesn't; being concerned about nutrition is concerned about one's health.

Consume healthful foods!
