After the devotion, she mentioned it casually that he could take his bath whenever he was ready as the warm water was available. She made breakfast while he took a warm bath. It turned out that his stomach was upset as he spent a long time, in the restroom having a "meeting" which was their polished way of referring to bowel movements. Hence, he could not risk taking breakfast to avoid aggravating the present condition. He asked for their regular antidiarrheal as soon as he was out of the bathroom. Omar was sure to have a long day at work as mondays and tuesdays were extra lesson days, in the school where he taught as a foreign language teacher so staying hungry, was not an option either. Ana decided to put the food in a flask. Given the state of his stomach she told him she'll put a smaller quantity of stew for the rice as opposed to what he was used to. He added

"But you'll put plenty fish" She said "I'll put the head and any other part". A slight change in his facial expression with a simultaneous "don't put the head" left her smiling. He enjoyed eating the head of the fish during mealtimes at home especially when it had absorbed some of the flavor from whatever dish it was added to but the thought of opening his food flask in public and have that part bared out as complement of the meal seemed embarrassing to him. She reassured him that it was a joke while laughing at his non verbal protest against the "innocent fish head". She had deliberately said that elicit his response. It was common knowledge that most men in this part of the world to refuse to be served a meal with the head of a fish as the accompanying "obstruction". For some it was an outright insult especially when other people were present hence his reaction was not surprising.
