The Covert Exfil was introduced just two days ago as part of the Season 1 Reloaded content reveal. Following the announcement, a notable portion of the Warzone community expressed dissatisfaction with the feature, arguing that it undermined the intense and competitive nature of Warzone gameplay. The Covert Exfil allowed up to five teams to purchase an early exit from the match, securing them a victory and placement on the new Covert Exfil leaderboard.
Responding to the community's feedback, Raven Software has opted to defer the launch of the Covert Exfil feature. Instead, the studio plans to incorporate it into a future game mode centered around both the Covert Exfil and Weapon Case features. The Weapon Case, originally intended to be part of the Season 1 Reloaded update, will also be held back until the launch of this upcoming mode.
In the revised implementation, a Weapon Case will spawn at the start of each match, its location highlighted on players' maps. While picking up the Weapon Case marks players for enemies, successfully exfiltrating with it will grant exclusive rewards to the player and their squad members. Raven Software did not specify the release date for the future mode that will introduce these features, leaving players anticipating further details on the reshaped Covert Exfil experience.
