　どういうタイプの受験生が合格をつかみやすいのか。それは、通う予備校や使っている参考書・問題集とはあまり関係がない。長年受験指導をさせてもらっていると、受験だけではなくその後の人生も見えてくる。

　結局、夢というか理想を胸の中にかたく持ち続けている人が受験でも強く、たとえ受験で不合格になってもその後に復活を遂げてゆく。その信念のようなものは教えられて身につくものか疑問がある。

　だから、受験だけではなくスポーツでも芸術でも「熱い思い」を抱いている若者を集めてきて鍛える。この信仰のような熱くてかたい思いがない生徒は教えても何も身につかない。つまり、コスパが悪いのだ。

　熱い思いを持つ者は、自分が部活と勉強を両立できるのか現実と向き合う勇気がある。熱い思いを持たない者は、先生や周囲の友達の言いなりか雰囲気に流される。孤立しようが何しようが自分の道を突き進める強さがない生徒は受験では勝者になれないものだ。

　What type of students are most likely to grasp success in the exam? It has little to do with the preparatory school they attend or the reference books and question books they use. After many years of providing guidance for entrance examinations, I have come to realize that it is not only about the examinations, but also about life afterwards.

　In the end, those who keep their dreams or ideals firmly in their hearts are stronger in the examinations, and even if they fail the examination, they will come back to life afterwards. It is doubtful that this kind of belief can be acquired by being taught.

　That is why we gather and train young people who have a "passion" not only for entrance exams, but also for sports and the arts. Students who do not have such passionate and firm feelings like this faith will not learn anything even if they are taught. In other words, it is not cosmetic.

　Those who have passionate feelings have the courage to face the reality of whether they can balance club activities and study. Those who do not have passionate feelings for club activities and study will follow the teacher or friends around them, or just go along with the atmosphere.
