　少子化が始まる前は、同学年の人数が多かったので競争が激しかった。今は以前ほど競争が激しくないので、旧帝も入りやすくなった。定員割れが起こって経営が維持できない大学も出始めて統廃合が進んでいる。

　こうなると、Fラン大学と呼ばれる大学はほとんど誰でも合格できる状態になった。だから、

「受かるんだったら、どの大学でもいいや」

　という高校生も増えてきた。キャンパスライフに憧れているだけで、真剣に勉強する気がない。

　しかし、人生に真剣に向き合って高校生もいる。そういう子は、小学校や中学校にいる時から志望校や将来の職業が決まっている。目標が明確だから、一歩一歩着実に進んで行き合格を手にする。

　Before the birthrate started declining, competition was fierce because of the large number of students in the same grade. Now, competition is not as fierce as before, so it has become easier to enter the former imperial universities. Some universities have begun to lose capacity and cannot sustain their operations, and consolidation is underway.

　In this situation, almost anyone can get into what are called "F-rank" universities. Therefore, it is not surprising to hear the following words.

"I don't care which university I go to as long as I get in.

　So, more and more high school students are saying, "I don't care which university I go to as long as I get in. They are just longing for campus life and have no intention to study seriously.

　However, there are high school students who are serious about life. Such students have already decided on the school they want to go to and their future career from the time they are in elementary or junior high school. Because their goals are clear, they steadily advance step by step and obtain success.
